ATOPIC ECZEMA

  1. A disease that usually starts in infancy with popular and vesicular lesions of face, neck and head and resolving in many by age of 5. But it could persist in older children and adults and the sites involved are popliteal fossa, cubital fossa, the wrist, forehead, face and the nape of the neck. Causing dryness and itching. Other allergies like rhinitis, asthma might be present alongside.

MANAGEMENT

Under Paediatrician’s advice in children.

To educate patient on avoiding rubbing or scratching.

Rarely related to foods like eggs, fish, peanuts, soya and wheat.
